Despite the heavy rain today, preparations continued for Sunday’s procession. The sedan chairs have been cleaned up and put on display. The lamp pole will go up at about 11AM, and by 6pm the participants in the parade will start lining up along Jln Merdeka by the temple. The procession, led by the mediums and the priests, departs at about 8pm to pick up the Emperor, returning to the temple at about midnight.
The lovely marble urn of the Jade Emperor was placed outside the temple today and filled with rice, ready for offerings.
